Oh man I blew a circut shooting at school once and this professor went batshit because she thought she lost like 5 years of work (not realizing that most stuff automatically saves) she was looking to prosecute or something wow. Looks like you guys had an alright time of it though and got a copy of The Break Up to boot! Those windows are killer I can't wait to see the movie.
This reminds me that I need to read my copy of "Matters of Light and Depth" from cover to cover (it's a HIGHLY recommended book that you probably don't need) and figure out what kind of light kit I need. I just got paid for my last gig which means I can finally buy the FCP upgrade needed to edit 24F!
Jay, in terms of "amateur" filmmakers you may be some of the best "competition" I've seen (The Running Tunnel even proves we tell similar stories). With that in mind I'm motivated to step up my game even further.
P.S. Could you spare the time to tell me where you get your fonts?
P.P.S. Your friend should have gotten Darkman instead of The Breakup. Lol.
